Frequently asked questions
Can I rotate just one page instead of the whole PDF?
Yes. After you select the file, every page appears as a thumbnail. Click the page you want to turn and it rotates 90 degrees clockwise; the other pages stay as they are.
Can I choose a custom rotation angle, like 45 degrees?
No. PDF page rotation only supports quarter turns, so each click adds 90 degrees: click twice for 180 and three times for 270. A scan that is slightly crooked can't be straightened with page rotation.
Does rotating a PDF reduce its quality or make the text unselectable?
No. The tool only changes each page's rotation setting with pdf-lib. Pages are never re-rendered as images, so text stays selectable and searchable and there's no quality loss.
I selected several PDFs at once. Why was only one rotated?
The Rotate tool works on the first file in your selection. Rotate other files one at a time, or merge them first with the Merge tool if they should end up in one document.
