A signed contract with a blank cover page, a scanned packet with a duplicate page from a jammed printer, or a report with three appendix pages nobody outside the team needs: these are the everyday reasons to delete pages from a PDF instead of rebuilding the whole document. Remove Pages shows a thumbnail of every page, you pick the ones to delete, and it rebuilds the file with everything else in its original order.

Step-by-step
- Open the Remove Pages tool, or click the "Remove Pages" card on the home page.
- Click the drop zone or drag in your PDF. A thumbnail of every page appears.
- Click each page you want to delete. It turns red and is marked with an ✕; click it again to keep it. The counter shows how many pages will be deleted.
- If you already know the page numbers, type them in "Or type the pages to delete", for example 1, 3-5 or 8-. The thumbnails update as you type.
- Click "Process now." The tool copies every page you kept, in the original order, into a new file with pdf-lib.
- Your browser downloads without-selected-pages.pdf. Open it and check the pages around each deletion.
Common mistakes
- Confusing printed page numbers with page positions. The tool counts from the first page of the file, including covers and blank pages. When in doubt, click the thumbnails instead of typing numbers.
- Marking every page. At least one page has to remain; the tool asks you to keep one.
- Deleting pages you'll need later. Keep the original file, or extract those pages first with Split PDF.
- Removing pages one run at a time. You can mark all the pages to delete in a single pass, even if they're far apart.

How do I choose which pages to delete?
Click their thumbnails: a page marked for deletion turns red, and clicking it again keeps it. You can also type the page numbers in "Or type the pages to delete", for example 1, 3-5, and the thumbnails update to match.
Does removing pages affect the quality of the pages I keep?
No. The kept pages are copied from the original file with pdf-lib, without being re-rendered as images, so text stays selectable and searchable and there's no quality loss.
Can I remove every page from the PDF?
No. At least one page has to remain, because a PDF without pages can't be opened. If you mark every page, the tool asks you to keep at least one.
I want to keep the pages I'm removing too, as their own file. Can Remove Pages do that?
Not in the same step. Remove Pages discards the pages you select. To keep both parts, use Split PDF with "Extract selected pages into one PDF" on the original file for the pages you're removing, then remove them here.
